Our 3rd grade class is a lively and exciting environment! Some examples of what we cover include: for math we study multiplication, division, and fractions. During a geometry unit, we study lines, angles and 2 and 3D shapes. In social studies, we study landforms and early us history. The units on Native Americans are among the most enjoyed by students, closely followed by the Western expansion. In literacy, one of our biggest units is “The Little House on the Prairie”, in which all subjects are integrated through a wonderful and timeless story. For science, our biggest and most fun units include life science (with owl pellets, live crayfish, and M.A.R.E!), rocks and minerals, and force and motion.
