In math, students develop their understanding of fractions and decimals. In Science, students study basic chemistry, the open ocean and earth science. Fifth graders take a tour of the Cathedral of Christ the Light as part of their religion curriculum. They also visit the Dia de los Muertos exhibit at the Oakland Museum. The art program in fifth grades is based on American artists.
